TACK LOCK
Tack Lock is a powerful, environmentally friendly solution that binds soil in place to reduce erosion and improve stormwater run-off clarity and quality. Additionally, Tack Lock improves soil structure allowing for greater water penetration and water holding capacity which promotes rapid vegetation establishment with deeper roots. Tack Lock is easy to use and is available in both liquid and granular formulations
Primary Applications:
- Tackifier for hydroseeding, agricultural fibers, and landscape mulches
- Soil stabilizer for dust control
- Mine operation tailings and spoil piles
- Linear construction of roads, pipelines, and utility corridors
- Mass grading projects such as solar / wind farms and housing developments
Features and Benefits:
- Decreases wind and traffic induced dust while decreasing watering requirements Rapidly binds soil particles to stabilize soil, minimize erosion, and decrease runoff turbidity
- Holds seed, soil, bacteria, nutrients, and fertilizer in place and prevent mobilization during rain Improves water infiltration into soil surface and aids in vegetative establishment & reduced runoff Increases water holding capacity, penetration and improved crop/ vegetation yields (USDA research)
- Naturally derived and biodegradable
- Easy to apply via hydroseeding or water truck Effective & affordable
- Reduce operational and cleanup costs
- Helps achieve regulatory compliance
Directions For Use:
- Shake well before opening as separation may have occurred.
- Tack Lock® Emulsions may be applied with hydroseeders or water trucks
- Pour emulsion into water stream while filling tank or into a filled tank with mixing apparatus running. Allow emulsion to mix for five minutes before application.
- Caution: DO NOT exceed 1 gallon liquid or 10 pounds granular per 1,000 gallons of water to prevent any clogging or damage to equipment.
Application Rates:
Applied as Tackifier:
- Liquid: 1 - 5 gallons per acre (based on soil type, slope, disturbance frequency)
- Granular: 10 - 50 pounds per acre (based on soil type, slope, disturbance frequency)
Applied as Dust Control:
- Liquid: 1 gallon per acre (based on soil type, slope, disturbance frequency)
- Granular: 3 - 5 pounds per acre (based on soil type, slope, disturbance frequency)

Compliance & Restrictions
- Proper concentration and application methods are critical to ensure performance and regulatory compliance with stormwater and erosion control requirements
- Use only as directed - exceeding suggested application rates will not improve performance
- Do not use water unless necessary, extremely slippery conditions will result
- Lifespan will vary depending on site and environmental conditions, traffic frequency, maintenance
- Greenstone Supply is not liable for damage to hydroseeders
